About the Movie
After ten years of brutal warfare at Troy, the legendary Greek hero Odysseus embarks on what should be a simple voyage home to Ithaca. But the gods have other plans. Cursed by Poseidon and tested by Zeus, Odysseus and his crew face a gauntlet of mythological terrors that will push them to the very limits of human endurance. From the lotus-eaters who offer oblivion to the Cyclops Polyphemus who threatens annihilation, from the enchantress Circe who transforms men into beasts to the deadly Sirens whose songs promise doom, each challenge strips away another piece of Odysseus's certainty. He must navigate between Scylla and Charybdis, descend into the underworld itself, and resist temptations that would make him forget his very purpose. Meanwhile, in Ithaca, his wife Penelope fends off ambitious suitors who seek to claim his throne, while his son Telemachus comes of age in the shadow of a father he barely remembers. As years stretch into a decade, the question becomes not just whether Odysseus will survive his journey, but whether the man who returns will be the same hero who left—and whether home will still be waiting for him. Christopher Nolan brings Homer's timeless epic to life with his signature blend of intimate human drama and spectacular visual storytelling, exploring themes of identity, perseverance, and the true cost of heroism across a canvas of mythological grandeur.
